What does OFM mean?
OFM stands for OnlyFans management. An OFM agency signs creators and runs the business around their content: the DMs, the marketing, the posting schedule, pricing and analytics. The creator makes the content; the agency turns it into a business. Agencies are usually paid a share of the revenue they generate, which is why the biggest teams inside them are sales teams.
So when people search for an OFM job, they mean a job at one of these agencies. None of them involve being on camera. The most common one by far is the chatter, also called chat agent, which is the role most agencies hire for every week.

Chatter / chat agent: the core OFM job
Chatters handle the subscriber inbox for one or more creators. They welcome new fans, build rapport, remember details, and offer pay-per-view (PPV) content at the right moment. In most agencies, DMs are the single largest revenue source on an account, so chat is where the hiring volume is.
- Work: fixed shifts, usually 6–8 hours, often 5–6 days a week.
- Skills: written English, empathy, persuasive writing, multitasking 10–30 chats.
- Pay: a small hourly base plus commission on sales, or commission-only.
- Entry barrier: low. Good agencies train you before your first live shift.

The other OFM roles
Team lead and chat manager
Team leads review their chatters' conversations, coach them on missed sales, and make sure every shift is covered. Chat managers own the whole floor: scripts, KPIs, hiring and scheduling. These roles are almost always filled by promoting strong chatters, because you cannot coach a job you have not done.
Account manager (creator success manager)
The account manager is the creator's main contact. They onboard new creators, plan content with them, run weekly check-ins and keep them happy enough to stay. It suits people with client-facing, project-management or social-media experience.
Virtual assistant
VAs keep accounts organized: scheduling posts and mass messages, tagging and sorting the content vault, and handling admin. It is a common entry point but has less upside than chatting because it is not tied to sales.
Content editor
Editors cut short videos, retouch photos and write captions and teasers. You will be asked for a portfolio.
Marketer / traffic manager
Traffic is what brings new subscribers in: Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok and Telegram funnels. It is a growth-marketing job and agencies look for people who have already grown accounts.
Recruiter / model scout
Recruiters find and sign creators for the agency, usually on commission per signed creator. It is a sales job with a long cycle.
Which OFM job should you start with?
For most people, chatter. It has the lowest entry barrier, the most openings, uncapped commission, and it teaches you how the money in this industry is actually made. Every senior OFM role — team lead, chat manager, account manager — is easier to land once you have a track record on the chat floor.
Pick a different starting role only if you already have the specific skill: an editing portfolio for content editor, grown social accounts for traffic, or account-management experience for creator success.
How to get an OFM job
- Choose one role.Agencies hire for a specific seat. "I can do anything" reads as "I have not done anything".
- Prepare proof. For chat: a short in-voice writing sample and a typing-speed screenshot. For editing: a portfolio. For traffic: accounts you grew.
- Apply to agencies, not middlemen.Apply on the agency's own site, where you can see who they are and what the contract looks like.
- Pass the test. Most chat roles include an English check, a written chat simulation and a short interview. Here is exactly how ours works and what we grade on.
- Get trained, then sign. A serious agency trains you and gives you a written contract before you touch a live account.
Fake OFM jobs and scams: red flags
The OFM space attracts a lot of noise. These are the patterns we see candidates get burned by:
- Pay-to-work.You must buy a course, a "certification" or a mentorship before they hire you. Real agencies pay to train you, not the other way round.
- No written contract. If pay terms only exist in a Telegram chat, they can change whenever the agency wants.
- Unpaid "trial" weeks. A short test is normal; weeks of live selling without pay are not.
- Your identity on their accounts. You should never be asked to verify a creator account or a payout in your own name.
- Income screenshots instead of terms."Make $10K/month as a beginner" with no stated base, commission or pay dates is marketing, not a job offer.
- Long pay delays. Being paid 30–60 days after the work is a cash-flow risk you carry for them.
Our commitments at Bunny: no fees at any step, free training, a written freelancer contract with Bunny Agency LLC before your first shift, and pay twice a month on the 1st and 16th by bank transfer.
The OFM career path
The typical ladder inside an agency is trainee → chatter → senior chatter → team lead → chat manager, with a side door into account management or operations. People who move up fastest are not the most experienced on day one; they are the ones who show up for every shift, take feedback and track their own numbers.
OFM jobs vs jobs at OnlyFans itself
A lot of people searching "OnlyFans jobs" find agency jobs and assume they are working for OnlyFans. They are not. OnlyFans the platform is run by Fenix International Ltd in London and hires its own staff (engineering, compliance, support) through its own careers page. Chatter and other OFM jobs are with independent agencies that work with creators on the platform.
OFM jobs FAQ
What does OFM stand for?
OFM stands for OnlyFans management. An OFM agency runs the business side of creators’ OnlyFans accounts — chatting, marketing, content planning and operations — usually for a share of revenue. An “OFM job” is any job inside one of those agencies.
Are OFM jobs legit?
Many are, some are not. A legitimate OFM job comes with a written contract, a clear pay structure, payment on fixed dates, and free training. Be careful with anyone who charges you for a course before hiring you or only pays in crypto with no paperwork.
Which OFM job pays the most?
At entry level, chatting has the highest upside because commission is uncapped and tied directly to sales. Over time, chat managers and account managers who run large portfolios earn the most, and almost all of them started as chatters.
Can I get an OFM job with no experience?
Yes. Chatter and VA roles are the two OFM jobs that agencies routinely fill with beginners. You need good written English, reliability and comfort with adult-industry content. Bunny trains chat agents from zero for free.
Do I have to show my face or create content for an OFM job?
No. OFM jobs are behind-the-scenes roles. Chatters, managers, editors and VAs never appear on camera. The creators make the content; the agency team runs everything around it.
Can I do OFM jobs from home?
Yes. Almost every OFM job is remote. Chat floors run 24/7 across time zones, so agencies hire worldwide and work in shifts.
Is an OFM job the same as starting my own OFM agency?
No. Lots of “OFM” content online sells courses on starting your own agency. That is a business, not a job, and it needs capital, creators and a team. If you want a paycheck while you learn how agencies really work, start inside one as a chatter.
