What employers mean by OFM copywriter

OFM means OnlyFans management. An OFM copywriter writes text that supports a creator’s approved offer and helps the team communicate consistently. A PPV caption introduces a pay-per-view offer; a mass-message sequence addresses a defined group of eligible subscribers. A persona guide records the creator’s preferred vocabulary, rhythm, boundaries and truthful claims. Job titles overlap, so always check the deliverables.

A useful caption writer can explain what is sold, where the price appears and what the subscriber can decide next. They can produce variants without inventing scarcity, exclusivity or personal availability. Their work includes revision, documentation and measurement. Repeatedly writing a catchy opening is only one part of maintaining a usable creator copy library.

Which copywriting experience transfers?

Sales emails, landing pages, retention campaigns and persona-based brand work can provide relevant evidence. Show how you adapted a brief, made an offer easier to understand and responded to feedback. If results are available with permission, include the audience, denominator and observation window. If they are not available, present the piece as a writing sample and explain the decision without claiming a conversion lift.

Copywriter, chatter or social media manager?

A copywriter designs reusable assets and their instructions. A chatter uses approved frameworks in live conversations and responds to the person in front of them. A social media manager runs approved publishing and channel activity. A marketing manager sets acquisition experiments and measures the wider funnel. In a small agency one person may hold several responsibilities; the written role description should make that explicit before you agree to the work.

A request to write a fictional sample should have a defined purpose and scope. Ask whether the exercise is used commercially and how it is reviewed.
