Marketing roles in an OFM agency
Titles vary by agency. Read the responsibilities, decision rights and employment terms before assuming two roles with similar names are comparable. The following roles describe common divisions of work across the industry. Bunny’s external marketing vacancy is the marketing manager; this list does not imply additional openings.
Marketing manager
Owns acquisition priorities, experiment design, editorial coordination and the measurement plan. This person connects upstream audience behavior with free-to-paid conversion, acquisition cost and retention feedback. The job requires judgment about which opportunities to decline, including ideas that conflict with creator consent or platform rules.
Traffic or acquisition manager
Focuses on qualified visits, channel testing, attribution and acquisition cost. Organic work still consumes production and management time, so a useful report identifies costs rather than labeling every unpaid channel free. Traffic managers need a clear handover to the people responsible for offers and subscriber experience.
Social media manager
Runs the day-to-day channel operation: calendars, approved publishing, community responses and creative feedback. A strong social media manager documents platform restrictions, adapts original assets to each format and reports beyond follower counts. Scope may overlap with acquisition in a small team.
Content strategist
Turns audience research and creator-approved positioning into themes, briefs and testable creative hypotheses. Strategy includes deciding what an asset should achieve and what evidence would change the plan. It does not require promising virality or copying a competitor’s identity.
Editor
Produces assets from an agreed brief, keeps versions organized and checks usage permissions. Good collaboration gives the editor a clear hook, a format, a permitted call to action, a delivery date and a review owner. Editing is a production discipline; the marketing manager remains accountable for experiment priorities.
What makes a senior growth application useful?
Show a decision you owned with an anonymized baseline, a defined audience, a time window and a result. Explain the denominator behind conversion, the costs included in CAC and the limits of your attribution. A thoughtful account of an inconclusive test can show more judgment than a large number without context.
Brand, agency and broader creator-economy experience can transfer. The differences to learn are creator approval, audience age restrictions, sensitive information and platform-specific promotion limits. A non-explicit asset must still have a permitted destination; a link aggregator cannot turn a prohibited promotion into an approved one.
