How to become a video editor for OnlyFans creators

Start with evidence that you can edit a creator’s story, not with a claim that you understand a niche. A clear reel, a complete long-form sample and a dependable review process make your skills assessable. This guide covers preparation for SFW creator-agency editing; Bunny’s published vacancy requires 2+ years editing for creators, brands or an agency; a reel is mandatory; creator-economy or OFTV experience preferred, not required.

Translate your existing experience into relevant samples

Creator editing overlaps with brand, interview, documentary and social work. If you have cut a founder interview, a recipe demonstration or an event recap, you may already have useful skills. Identify the decisions the agency needs: selecting a premise, making dialogue clear, managing pace, adapting a composition and delivering on a brief. Explain those decisions without pretending you worked in OFTV when you did not.

Make a small evidence inventory. For each project, record the format, source-footage challenge, your contribution and what you can share. A polished campaign you cannot disclose may be less useful for an application than a permitted case study that demonstrates your actual work. If you are new to editing altogether, build experience first. A degree is not a stated requirement for Bunny’s role, but the published experience requirement still matters. A short practice project does not honestly become two years of client work.

Build a three-piece portfolio before expanding it

Begin with one complete landscape video, one independent vertical short and one explanation of a revision. The landscape piece demonstrates sustained structure; the short demonstrates fast context and mobile composition. The revision shows that you can interpret feedback and improve a result. Together they reveal more than a montage containing only transitions, speed ramps and effects borrowed from tutorials.

Use authorised footage. A self-directed project should be labelled as practice, including where the footage came from and what you did. A stock library being free does not mean every asset is CC0, and a music track downloaded from a social app is not automatically cleared for a portfolio export. Keep a simple rights record with the source and permission. If you cannot show client work, build a fictional scenario that exercises the same craft without disclosing a real creator’s identity or copying their private footage.

Make the reel easy to review

A concise reel helps reviewers decide what to watch next. Open with a strong moment of storytelling and identify your role in plain language. If another person handled motion design, filming or colour, credit that contribution. Reviewers need to know which skills they are actually hiring. A claim such as “edited dialogue and built vertical derivatives” is more useful than “made this video” when a team delivered it.

Place links to full examples beneath the reel with one or two sentences of context. Explain the brief, constraint and a decision you made. Where approved analytics are available, state the metric and observation window, and distinguish your work from a title change or distribution push. Where they are unavailable, describe the craft without inventing outcomes. Test every link in a private browser window. Remove request-access loops, unrelated folders and links that expire before a reviewer can reasonably reach them.

Learn the actual content environment

OnlyFans creator work is not one editing format. Agencies may commission public entertainment, paid-page media or both. Ask what the source material contains before accepting access. Bunny’s position is SFW only and includes OFTV episodes, YouTube and short-form promotion. That scope is narrower than the adult-industry context of the agency, and both facts should be understood together.

Study public creator formats as editing exercises: where does the story begin, what keeps the middle moving, and what does the ending resolve? Analyse an episode without copying assets or treating its performance as evidence that a tactic always works. Learn to identify a licensing problem, an unapproved face and a misleading thumbnail. Those checks are part of professional editing judgment. You do not need a real creator’s account credentials or private subscriber conversations to demonstrate that you can tell a coherent story from an approved brief.

Find agencies through verified vacancies and communities

Start with a company’s own hiring page. Check the legal entity, work scope, application destination and whether the vacancy is still accepting submissions. A role copied to a social group may remain visible after hiring pauses. Use the original posting to confirm what is current. A professional introduction should point to your reel and explain your fit for that specific editing workload.

Editing communities, portfolio networks and personal referrals can help you discover opportunities, but each venue decides whether hiring or adult-industry agency work is allowed. Read its rules before posting or responding. Do not conceal the industry context to bypass a restriction, mass-message creators, or send private client files as proof of experience. Keep the initial conversation focused on the work and move sensitive details into an appropriate hiring process. A clear application through the advertised channel usually gives the reviewer more usable evidence than a string of public “interested” comments.

Prepare for portfolio review and the edit test

Practise describing one timeline from raw material to final export. Explain why the opening works, what you removed and how you handled a difficult note. Be honest about a choice you would now change. A portfolio conversation is about judgment under constraints, not a test of whether you can memorise the vocabulary of retention or name every feature in your software.

Bunny’s assessment includes a vertical short, a brief landscape cut, a repurposing plan, packaging, compliance scenarios and a written feedback response. Deliver review links rather than uploading large videos to a form. Use supplied consented footage when available, otherwise follow the brief’s verified CC0 fallback. The suggested total timebox is three hours; report actual time and raise scope concerns before continuing. Confirm test payment terms before starting. A public preparation guide should explain the format, while your submission must show your own reasoning rather than repeat a model answer.

Agree a sustainable working arrangement

Capacity is a production estimate. Describe what your week can support given raw-footage length, audio condition, graphic complexity and feedback rounds. If you can deliver ten straightforward derivatives from an approved episode, say what makes that estimate realistic. Do not generalise it to ten unrelated productions with research, sourcing and heavy animation. A useful estimate identifies the assumptions that would change the schedule.

Bunny’s role is full-time freelance, remote and async-first, with at least four hours of overlap with Central European business hours. Explain your local availability and any transition from existing work. The Philippines, for example, has a different seasonal relationship to Central European clocks, so confirm actual working windows instead of assuming a permanent offset. Pay and volume are discussed in the interview. Keep questions about revision limits, software costs, asset licences and delivery ownership together; those details determine whether the agreement is workable as much as a headline compensation figure does.

Questions about this editing task

Do I need a degree to apply?

No degree is stated for Bunny’s vacancy. Relevant experience and a reel are required. Demonstrate the actual editing skills rather than assuming a qualification replaces the work samples.

Can brand editing count as experience?

Yes. Bunny accepts relevant editing for creators, brands or an agency. Explain how your work demonstrates storytelling, feedback handling, captions, mobile framing and reliable delivery.

Must I already have OFTV clients?

No. OFTV or creator-economy experience is preferred, not required. Be clear about what you have done and use transferable examples rather than inventing niche experience.

Can I apply from the Philippines?

Yes, the Philippines is an eligible applicant country. You still need the published experience, software, English and timezone overlap, plus a working reel link.

Should I buy an editing course first?

A course is not a stated application requirement. Prioritise demonstrable skills and relevant samples. Learning may help, but a course purchase does not guarantee a job or replace experience.

What if I cannot show past client work?

Request permission for an appropriate private sample or create a clearly labelled personal project with authorised assets. Never break a confidentiality agreement to make an application look stronger.
