Community management: comments and inbound DMs for creators
Community management means answering permitted public-channel questions, acknowledging issues and routing exceptions to the right owner. Bunny’s social media role stays SFW and never handles paid-page content. Use an approved voice, protect private information and check the platform and destination before mentioning a link. Do not turn community work into unsolicited outreach or explicit sales conversations.

Define the voice and the authority behind it
An approved voice guide should describe tone, vocabulary, boundaries and claims the manager may make. It should also state what requires creator or marketing approval. Writing warmly does not authorize pretending that the creator is personally present, promising private access or making commitments about purchases, refunds or availability.
Keep factual answers in a small maintained knowledge base. Include public content locations, known technical issues, approved response boundaries and escalation contacts. Date changing information. A polished reply becomes misleading when it points to an old tutorial or promises a fix that the responsible person has not approved.
For a fictional lifestyle creator, a manager may answer where a public coffee tutorial appears. That task is different from promising a personal conversation or exclusive material. Describe the distinction in the process so a cover manager can make the same decision. A voice guide should help a person act correctly, not merely imitate a style.
Triage the queue before drafting replies
Sort inbound items by category: ordinary SFW questions, content feedback, technical issues, operational complaints, explicit requests and safety or privacy concerns. Give urgent categories an escalation route. Not every item needs a public reply, and not every reply should come from the social manager. Use the minimum information required to route the issue.
Track the item’s state and owner. A message marked read is not necessarily resolved. A message forwarded without an owner can disappear from both queues. Record whether it was answered, escalated, awaiting information or closed under an approved moderation rule. Keep private content in its authorized system rather than copying it into a general reporting sheet.
Estimate community workload from the actual queue, not follower count alone. A small account with a contentious post can require significant triage. Tell the team when coverage is insufficient. Rushing every item into the same canned answer can create more work when people receive irrelevant or misleading responses.
Answer ordinary questions with accurate, bounded help
A fictional comment asks where to find the recipe shown in a clip. A useful response is: the steps are in the caption of the public recipe post. Check that statement before sending it. If the information is missing, acknowledge the gap and ask the approved owner rather than inventing an answer in the creator’s voice.
A fictional message says the public link does not load. A suitable first response acknowledges the problem and says the team will check the approved link. Do not request passwords, payment details or private screenshots. Test the destination through the authorized workflow, then provide an update only when you have verified information.
A complaint about the wrong clip requires ownership. Acknowledge that the team is reviewing it and escalate to the publishing owner. Avoid promising a specific correction time or speaking for the creator without approval. Preserve the relevant post identifier and minimal context so the team can act without requiring the person to repeat everything publicly.
Treat link routing as a permission decision
A person asking about a creator’s other public work may be referred to an approved profile link only where the platform permits that promotion and destination. Check the full destination chain. A neutral label on an intermediate page does not make a prohibited adult destination acceptable. Do not use coded phrases or hidden redirects to bypass restrictions.
The permitted response may differ by platform and account. Keep the approved answer linked to the current destination decision. If a hub changes, review queued replies and saved snippets. Otherwise a previously reviewed phrase can begin directing people somewhere the team never approved. Public-channel SFW work includes the context around the link.
When the rule or destination is uncertain, hold the routing response and ask the marketing owner. A short delay for a real decision is preferable to misleading the user. Do not assume that a person initiating a message removes platform restrictions, creator boundaries or the need to avoid inappropriate audience targeting.
Escalate explicit requests, minors and safety concerns
A fictional request for explicit pictures is outside the social role. Use the approved non-explicit boundary response or moderation action; do not send paid-page material or continue a sexual conversation. Do not collect the message as a writing sample. The task is to keep scope and route appropriately, not to maximize response volume.
If a sender says they are underage, do not route them to adult material or solicit further discussion. Follow the approved safety escalation and platform process. Do not ask them to send identity documents through a social inbox. The social manager should know who owns such situations before being assigned unattended community coverage.
Threats, harassment, doxxing and privacy complaints also need a defined response. Preserve only necessary evidence in the authorized incident system, limit access and follow the responsible owner’s direction. Avoid arguing publicly, making retaliatory posts or promising an outcome beyond your authority. Routine engagement goals never override a safety decision.
Measure resolution and improve the handover
A community report can include inbound volume, answered items, unresolved items at handover, escalations and recurring issue categories. State the window and definitions. A response count alone cannot show whether the answer was accurate or the issue resolved. Do not incentivize staff to close difficult items without addressing them.
Use anonymized themes for production feedback: viewers repeatedly cannot find a public tutorial, a caption is ambiguous or an approved link has a technical problem. Send the editor or marketer the relevant operational observation without forwarding private fan conversations. The insight should improve the public experience while minimizing unnecessary exposure of personal data.
At handover, list unresolved categories, owner, last action and next check. Ensure the cover manager knows which responses are approved and which decisions remain pending. Review saved replies when the account scope or destination changes. Good community management is a maintained system of accurate answers, clear boundaries and completed follow-through.
Official references and scope
The workflows and fictional examples above are editorial guidance. Consult the current official sources for platform and product decisions; access to some support pages may require the native app or a signed-in account.
Can the social media manager answer all creator DMs?+
Only within the authorized public-channel SFW scope. Paid-page conversations and explicit content are outside Bunny’s social role. Define escalation categories and permissions before assigning inbox coverage.
Is an inbound message permission to promote any link?+
No. Platform rules, creator approval, audience safety and the actual destination still apply. Check the whole chain and use only a permitted response. Initiation alone does not remove those requirements.
How should I handle an explicit request?+
Use the approved non-explicit boundary response or moderation action and keep the interaction within scope. Do not send private material, continue sexual conversation or treat the request as permission for mass outreach.
Can I use real comments in my portfolio?+
Use fictional examples or material you are explicitly authorized to share, with private information removed. Do not expose real fan conversations or creator identities to demonstrate community skills.
What should a community handover include?+
Unresolved items by category, the responsible owner, the last action and the next check. Link to the authorized record, keep sensitive content restricted and make clear which responses still need approval.
